We All Focus and Meditate

Everyone mediates! Including you! We just don’t call it meditation.

Your final exam is tomorrow. Or your client calls you to cancel an order. Or you just fought with your spouse. These are all stressful situations and we all have different solutions. Some people choose to watch cute puppies or babies videos on YouTube. Some people go for a walk or to the gym. Some people watch tv or play board games. I, personally, run until I can’t run anymore. All of these things allow us to get our minds off of the pain and slowly allow you to introspect.

It is very important to let time pass. As we continue to walk side by side with time, we slowly (unintentionally) begin to see new things in old material. For those of you who watched SpongeBob as kids and re-watched it as adults can understand new levels of human cognition. The world has never been black or white. People don’t always say what they mean. Situations are always full of complex layers of perspectives.

The keyword here, perspective! Understanding the world through someone else’s eyes has value. The knowledge of see through someone else’s eyes can make the difference of understanding or misunderstanding. Coupled with the power to hurt or help, it can easily change the lives of the people we love.

Taking our minds off the matter allows to revisit it in a different light. It is never a short battle that decides to win or lose. It is never that simple.
